Dialight Lights the Way to a Cure

Dialight participated in the 6.5 mile Belmar, NJ MS Walk on Sunday, April 18th, with a team of employees, family and friends. Dialight also sponsored one of the rest stops along the route, which provided refreshments to those participating in the walk. The Belmar walk site is the largest in New Jersey, with over two thousand participants and volunteers.

Multiple sclerosis (or MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system (CNS), which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another. Today, new treatments and advances in research are giving new hope to people affected by the disease. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will use funds collected from the MS Walk to not only support research for a cure tomorrow, but also to provide programs which address the needs of people living with MS today. Because we choose to walk for those who sometimes can't, because we choose to donate to the MS Walk, we are getting closer to the hour when no one will have to hear the words, "You have MS."
