Dialight Launches Lighting and Design Resource Center

Leader in LED Technology Unveils Easy-to-Use Lighting Layout Software with Full-Access to Photometric Files for Award-Winning LED Fixtures

Farmingdale, NJ (Sept. 11th, 2013) – Dialight (LSE: DIA.L), the innovative global leader in LED lighting technology, today unveiled the Lighting and Design Resource Center, a cutting-edge lighting layout software offering photometric files on a wide range of industrial and hazardous LED fixtures. With this launch, anyone will be able to quickly generate thorough lighting layouts and reports through an easy-to-use application offered at no charge.

Powered by the DIALux lighting layout engine, Dialight’s Lighting and Design Resource Center utilizes a central database of photometric files that is continuously updated for newly released products and changes to existing products. With this software, users are able to quickly evaluate how Dialight’s LED fixtures will perform in their application compared to traditional HID fixtures.

The new lighting layout center offers three dynamic tools – Dialight Pro, Dialight Lite and Dialight’s Catalog – that present an array of benefits.

Dialight Pro is a full feature 3D capable lighting layout software that allows the user to create dynamic rooms with built in objects and textures while comparing multiple fixtures to produce comprehensive reports. Dialight Lite is a quick and easy solution to deliver basic room evaluations while producing quality results. With this version, users are able to evaluate a single fixture in a simple square or L-shaped room and can make adjustments to lamp lumen depreciation, reflectance and warplane height – all free of charge.

Both Dialight Pro and Dialight Lite work hand in hand with Dialight’s Catalog, providing the quickest way to search, find and export the most current photometric files. Users can search the catalog based on variety of categories – product type, lumen output, certifications or color temperature – and can export the IES files either to their desktop or directly into a Dialight Pro or Dialight Lite project.

Dialight Introduces New Line of Vigilant® LED Aircraft Obstruction Lighting

Dialight Adds Next Generation L-864/L-865 Medium Intensity Red/White Strobe and L-864 Medium Intensity Red Beacon with Improved Size, Weight and Efficiency

Farmingdale, NJ (Aug. 29, 2013) – Dialight (LSE: DIA.L), the innovative global leader in LED technology, today announced a new line of Vigilant® aircraft obstruction LED lighting that offers a number of advancements on their already superior obstruction product line. With FAA certification for all tower and aircraft obstruction heights, the new Vigilant obstruction lighting line provides lower power consumption, smaller size, less wind load and lighter weight.

The new Vigilant line offers the L-864/L-865 dual medium intensity red/white strobe in the same small and light weight housing as the L-864, which results in a 5-pound weight reduction. This generation of LED obstruction lighting also adds the red L-864 beacon that is 25% smaller and 22 lbs. lighter than the previously white-only version. Dialight’s Vigilant beacons and strobes are the first product line to be fully tested and verified by Intertek ETL to the 2012 Transport Canada CAR 621 specification.

“Dialight leads the LED obstruction lighting market with superior technology and innovation that is shaping the future of aviation navigation,” said Roy Burton, Dialight Group Chief Executive. “These latest additions allow Dialight to offer the most complete line of LED obstruction lights in the market today.”

With the use of diamond-cut tooling and Dialight’s renowned proprietary and patented reflector-based optics, the new L-864 and L-864/L-865 obstruction lights provide an absolute razor sharp light cutoff that essentially eliminates light pollution. For example, the FAA requires that light at 10 degrees below the horizon must not be greater than 3% of the peak intensity. While many manufacturers struggle with this requirement, Dialight’s strobes are about six times better than this limit.

Ruggedized for harsh conditions, the L-856 High Intensity Strobe is designed for operation in ambient temperature range of -40C to +55C and is highly resistant to lightning, vibration and shock. With even more robust integrated lightning protection, the L-864/L-856 can sustain multiple direct hits and is proven to be the toughest obstruction light on the market.

The Vigilant obstruction lighting systems can be used with Dialight’s sophisticated controller capable of remote monitoring that allows for detailed diagnostics and health checks via the Dialight Gateway or other 3rd party Gateways to your NOC. The controller is SNMP enabled and compatible with third-party controllers via GSM, CDMA, Wi-Fi and more.

Dialight continues to be the first to market with LED obstruction lighting systems, including the first FAA approved device in 1999. Dialight’s patented LED lighting systems changed the way obstructions are marked for aircraft pilots in telecom, wind, broadcast, utility and marine applications.

Dialight’s complete line of LED-based FAA-certified aircraft obstruction lighting continues to boast the largest installed base of LED obstruction lighting in North America.
